 - as the heat seek to be added to that exclusive fraternity of teams to go back-to-back-to-back.. i must concede to heaps of respect (although always their antagonist) for popovich, the spurs and their tremendous personifications of game respecting team play. LA/SA (now distant) rivalries notwithstanding, the spurs' (pop, timmy, tony, manu, et al) continued (yr after yr after yr after yr..) level of accomplishment, contention, and excellence is historic and awesome. a fifth title (and redemption from last yr) wld be their crowning glory. although never a true 'dynasty', the spurs level of consistent achievement over the last 16 yrs is worthy of a label perhaps surpassing dynastic. back to the heat: as a reformed member of the original 'south beach haters', much respect to lebron, dwade, chris, ray, etc, etc... even coach spo - if they can overcome this fabulous spur squad - again, they will have imminently qualified themselves to join the celtics, bulls, and my lakers in that threepeat troupe -ijs
