g7- ...your destiny, l[a]ke[rs]

... tired of that kobe 'shtick' during the post/in between game pressers, with his dry, sarcastic retorts - question: how confident are you with the series going back to LA for the last two games? answer: i'm not confident at all. then a wry smile...
just tired of that routine, uknow? your boys are gettin their asses whipped - you know what i'm sayin? that act of yours is old, it's tired - it ain't workin...

republicans and their conservative ilk are always bitching about the budget deficit - about how we (read: that insurgent socialist {and that's the relatively tame ones}) are "stealing from their children/grandchildren", or " taking money, robbing, or placing a devastating burden on future generations", but never do we seem to hear this argument or sense of indignation regarding their children when it comes to this country's reliance on foreign oil, and other fossil fuels and our lack of will to make the necessary sacrifice and investment towards clean, renewable energy. commitment now - when 10, 15 30, 40 years down the line, their/our children and grandchildren will reap the benefits - environmentally, economically, and with regard to our national security and very existence. wonder why? could it be that these crass hypocrites' self interests (read: support from big oil) take priority over their beloved nation's long term? nah, that couldn't be...

that said, let's hover back to the sublime - as to this recent popular topic of conversation, who's the greatest laker of all time? mikan, west/clutch/logo, elgin, wilt, earvin, kareem, mamba? and if the later wins his fifth? although magic seems to be quite comfortable being referred to - and referring to himself - as the greatest (which ain't exactly a flattering trait) i do not think it is as clear cut as he, or anyone else might presume. and in deference to my old homie, sherman donald - should we not
also include gail goodrich in this conversation? *smile* let's dedicate this win tonight to gail...

- mavis & family... takin us-there. let's do this//
